Project LAUNCH

Three young children in front of a school wearing backpacks

Overview

Missouri’s Project LAUNCH (Linking Actions for Unmet Needs in Children’s Health) is a SAMSHA-funded program working to ensure that Missouri’s early childhood programs and services are comprehensive, coordinated, accessible, adequately funded, and of the highest quality to meet children’s needs. Project LAUNCH also aims to increase coordination and collaboration across child-serving agencies to strengthen existing linkages between provider agencies.

CPHSS collaborated with Dr. Trish Kohl and the lead evaluation agency, Missouri Institute for Mental Health (MIMH), to complete one piece of extensive project evaluation.  Specifically, we used network analysis to understand linkages between organizations providing services to children and assess coordination of service provision among these organizations over time. In addition to network mapping, we conducted parent interviews to capture information about families’ experiences with services. Results of this evaluation informed process improvement and helped to determine the overall service transformation within this system.
